The Ivy Solo Retreat is a private solo wellbeing retreat in Carlton, Nottingham, created for women, teens, neuro-diverse and LGBTQ friendly, who need space to rest, reset, reconnect and just be. The retreat is bookable for 2 hours, half a day (3 hours), full day (6 hours), overnight and longer. For coaching and hypnotherapy clients it’s available to book for one hour pre or post session.

Sometimes you do not need a busy retreat, a packed schedule, or a room full of people.

You just need space.

Space to breathe and just be.
An opportunity to be quiet, to hear yourself again.
To give yourself permission to rest without having to explain, perform, talk, care take, or keep going.

The Ivy Solo Retreat has been created as a private, peaceful retreat space for one person – a place to rest, reset, reconnect and just be.

Tucked away in Carlton, Nottingham, The Ivy Solo Retreat offers a gentle, nurturing safe space for people who feel tired, overwhelmed, burnt out, creatively stuck, emotionally stretched, or simply in need of time alone.

It is not a hotel stay or B&B, OR a group retreat and it is not therapy, unless you want it to be.

The Ivy is a calming solo space designed for deep rest, nervous system regulation, reflection, creativity and reconnection.

What is The Ivy Solo Retreat?

It is a private self-contained retreat space for one person, created with care, softness and intention.

It includes a bedroom, shower room, kitchen and living area, with space to rest, journal, read, create, reflect, meditate, process, or simply do nothing at all.

You can come for quiet time, creative time, emotional recovery, a gentle reset, or as part of your personal wellbeing journey.

The space has been designed to feel grounding, private and nurturing, somewhere you can take off the mask, step away from the noise of everyday life, and return to yourself at your own pace.

Who is it for?

My Ivy Solo Retreat is for women who are craving space.

You might be:

Feeling emotionally exhausted or burnt out
Moving through a life transition
Needing time away from responsibility, noise or other people’s needs
Longing to reconnect with yourself
Recovering from stress, grief, heartbreak or overwhelm
Seeking a peaceful space to write, create or plan

Looking for a calm space before or after therapy, coaching or healing work

It may also be especially supportive if you are neurodivergent, highly sensitive, overwhelmed by everyday demands, or someone who finds traditional group retreats too much.

This is a space where you do not have to be “on”.

What can I do during my stay?

Your time at The Ivy Solo Retreat is yours.

There is no pressure to achieve anything.

You may want to:

Journal, colour in
Meditate or do some yoga
Sleep
Create art or make something crafty
Write
Reflect
Watch the birds or plant seeds
Drink tea slowly
Take time away from your phone
Use the space as a creative retreat
Process your thoughts
Plan your next steps
Book a therapy or coaching session alongside your stay
Simply sit quietly and let your nervous system settle

There will be optional tools and gentle prompts available to support reflection, creativity and relaxation, but nothing is compulsory.

You can use the retreat in the way your body, mind and heart need.

Optional therapy, coaching and healing add-ons

The Ivy Solo Retreat is separate from therapy, but because it has been created by me, Rebecca Dakin, you also have the option to add therapeutic or coaching support if you would like that.

I offer private hypnotherapy, EFT, NLP coaching, inner child healing, emotional regulation support, ADHD-informed coaching and deep nervous system work.

Some guests may choose to book a session before, during or after their retreat to support emotional processing, clarity, confidence, healing or personal growth.

Others may simply want the space without any formal support.

Both are welcome.

This is your retreat. You choose what you need.

Why I created The Ivy Solo Retreat

I created The Ivy Solo Retreat because I know what it feels like to need a pause.

As a solo parent, neurodivergent woman, therapist, coach and someone who has lived through many reinventions, I understand the deep need for safe, private spaces where women can stop holding everything together.

So many women are carrying invisible loads.

They are parenting, working, masking, surviving, healing, grieving, planning, caring, creating, rebuilding and pushing through.

The Ivy Solo Retreat is my offering to those women.

A place where you can step out of the noise and into a softer rhythm, where you are not required to explain yourself and a place where you can remember who you are underneath the roles, responsibilities and expectations.
